Abstract

Entrepreneurs are defined as people who take risks and invest their capital with profit-making purposes. There are innate qualities as well as environmental factors that influence the tendency of people to be entrepreneurs. It is known that those with entrepreneurial tendencies have the potential to achieve more, risk taking, innovative and self-confident. The concept of individual value is the shared behavior that affects the members of the society and emerges with generalized behavior. Individual values affect the behavior of the person. In this study, individual values are considered in relation to entrepreneurship tendency. Purpose of the study; assess the relationship between individual values of students and entrepreneurship tendency in Düzce University. Survey technique was used in the research. 373 people were included in the survey by stratified sample method. Entrepreneurship tendency was examined in four dimensions as achievement, serenity, universality and individuality in the study evaluated as one dimension. As a result of, the research, it is seen that there is a meaningful relationship between individual values and entrepreneurship tendency. The dimension with the highest proportion of the 4 dimensions that constitute individual values was the tendency to achieve the only difference in demographic characteristics regarding the individual values and entrepreneurship tendency variables in the survey was gender. Women's perceptions of biennial value are higher than men.
